Dietary Intake of Pregnant Women with and without Inflammatory Bowel Disease in the United States
Barbara C. Olendzki,Bi-sek Hsiao,R. Chen,Christine F. Frisard,C. Madziar,M. Picker,Ana Maldonado-Contreras,Inga Peter +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors describe and compare the diet quality of pregnant women with and without IBD, and examine associations between dietary intake and guidelines during pregnancy, especially concerning for women with IBD.

P104 Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) exposure in early life is associated with intestinal inflammation
M. M. Agrawal,V. Midya,M. Picker,A. Rendon,D. Valvi,J. Sabino,G. Dolios,D. Barupal,Joana Torres,L. Petrick,Jean-Frederic Colombel,I. Peter +11 more
TL;DR: DBS can be used to measure early life exposure to toxins, and prenatal PFAS exposure is associated with elevated FC, with a slightly stronger effect in the offspring of women with IBD, and larger prospective studies are needed to validate these associations.

Genetic overlap between inflammatory bowel disease and parkinson's disease implicates the role of adaptive immune response in their comorbidity
Thomas Otten,J. Ayash,Won Jun Lee,Haoxiang Cheng,Anketse Debebe,Ke Hao,Lauren A. Peters,Johan Björkegren,O. Kalash,M. Picker,Alexa Rendon,Jean-Frederic Colombel,Rachel Saunders-Pullman,Marcus M. Unger,Inga Peter +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a linear combination of the estimated effects across multiple disease-associated variants in the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI, www.ppmi-info.org/data) cohort consisting of 413 PD cases and 195 healthy controls (HC) of predominantly European ancestry was used to further explore the genetic overlap between these two diseases.
Genetic overlap between inflammatory bowel disease and parkinson’s disease implicates the role of adaptive immune response in their comorbidity
Thomas Otten,J. Ayash,Won Jun Lee,Haoxiang Cheng,Anketse Debebe,K. Hao,Lauren A. Peters,Johan Björkegren,O. Kalash,M. Picker,Alexa Rendon,Jean-Frederic Colombel,Rachel Saunders-Pullman,Marcus M. Unger,Inga Peter +14 more
TL;DR: The findings suggest that PRS-IBD could serve as an early biomarker of PD and help stratify high-risk IBD patients for future PD prevention interventions and further support the genetic link between IBD and PD.
