Characterization of shape-memory alloy thin films made up from sputter-deposited Ni/Ti multilayers
TL;DR: In this article, a fabrication process for Ni-Ti shape-memory alloy thin films is presented based on the appropriate annealing of sputter-deposited Ni/Ti multilayers.

Polarized neutron reflectivity of FeCoV/Ti multilayers
TL;DR: In this paper, a spin valve multilayers consisting of magnetically hard and soft FeCoV layers separated by Ti spacer layers were investigated for their interface and magnetic properties, and the chemical structure and interface roughness were characterized by measuring X-ray reflectivity.
11
Influence of Mo in the Ni sublayers on the magnetization of Ni/Ti neutron supermirrors
TL;DR: In this paper, the Ni-sublayers with Mo were alloyed with Mo to suppress the magnetization of the layers of the guide and showed no depolarization for in-plane magnetization parallel to the neutron spin as normally is the case in the side walls of a guide.

Effect of Al doping on phase formation and thermal stability of iron nitride thin films
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of Al doping on the phase formation of iron nitride (Fe-N) thin films was studied using x-ray diffraction and polarized neutron reflectivity.

Smooth interfaces of multilayer monochromators
TL;DR: In this article, the authors sputtered multilayer monochromators with smooth interfaces to reduce the higher order contributions removing the need for a filter and reducing the second and third-order Bragg peak intensities.
