The occurrence of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) and bacteria can be one of the great threats to public health due to their ability to produce marine toxins (MTs). The most reported MTs include paralytic shellfish toxins (PSTs), amnesic shellfish toxins (ASTs), diarrheic shellfish toxins (DSTs), cyclic imines (CIs), ciguatoxins (CTXs), azaspiracids (AZTs), palytoxin (PlTXs), tetrodotoxins (TTXs) and their analogs, some of them leading to fatal outcomes. MTs have been reported in several marine organisms causing human poisoning incidents since these organisms constitute the food basis of coastal human populations. In African countries of the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea, to date, only South Africa has a specific monitoring program for MTs and some other countries count only with respect to centers of seafood poisoning control. Therefore, the aim of this review is to evaluate the occurrence of MTs and associated poisoning episodes as a contribution to public health and monitoring programs as an MT risk assessment tool for this geographic region.

Background: Management of post burn alopecia has been an obstacle to plastic surgeons nowadays, there is variable surgical methods which makes it difficult to choose the suitable treatment for each patient. Objective: To assess the feasibility of platelet rich plasma use in hair transplantation in treatment of post burn scaralopecia to choose of the suitable treatment algorithm for thistype of deformity to obtain the highest possible patient satis-faction rate with the least-possible complication rate. Methods: This prospective clinical study was conducted in Benha University Hospitals, Plastic and Burn Surgery Department in the period between January 2021 and January2022. 20 patients with post burn alopecia were included in the study. Patients were randomized using envelop method into two groups, where each group contains 10 patients asfollows: Group A: Patients received local intradermal PRP injections one week before hair transplantation followed by two injections 2 and 4 weeks postoperatively. Group B (Control group): Patients underwent hair transplantation only withoutany kind of local injections. Results: Using this procedure is less invasive, less expen-sive with less post-operative burden on the patients. However, it requires special skills for proper harvesting and insertingof follicular grafts. Operative time and number of sessionswere reasonable and convenient to the patients. Complicationswere quite mild and acceptable to the patients. Conclusion: It was concluded that using PRP in FUE is useful in treatment of post burn alopecia, hair transplantationhas less hazards during anesthesia, less post-operative com-plications and shorter recovery time than the other proceduresof hair restoration. and haven't received any sort of financial support.

Background: Background: Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a rare hyper-inflammatory disorder caused by benign systemic overgrowth of macrophages in the reticulo-endothelial system leading to cytokine storm. The main features of HLH are; fever, splenomegaly, bi/pancytopenia; hyper-ferritinemia, hyper-triglyceridemia and hypo-fibrinogenemia; which if not diagnosed and early treated progresses to disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), multi-organ dysfunction with dismal outcome. Hepatic manifestations are not well recognized primary presentation in pediatric patients with HLH. This presentation mandates high levels of suspicious for early diagnosis. Aims: Aims: To study the clinical, laboratory, and pathological hepatic manifestations in patients with HLH at diagnosis and upon reactivation. Methods: Methods: A 6 month retrospective cohort study included 35 patients with genetically confirmed HLH divided into familial HLH by its types, X linked lymphoproliferative syndrome and HLH with partial albinism; following at pediatric hematology/oncology clinic, Ain Shams University. In the studied patients, detailed review of patient’s clinical, laboratory data of HLH, hepatic transaminases and synthetic liver functions were done at time of presentation, at week 2, 8 from treatment start and at time of reactivation; Liver biopsy results and genetic analysis were recorded. Biochemical liver involvement was considered when alanine aminotransferase was 3 or more the upper level of normal value at presentation. Overall and reactivation free survival were analyzed according to liver involvement. Results: Results: Thirty five patients with HLH were recruited with age range of 2-108
