TL;DR: It is concluded that improved meat inspection could prove useful in reducing the local population's risk of infection with these parasites and it is required to better determine parasite prevalence and impact in order to formulate appropriate and cost-effective strategies for control.

The prevalence of Taenia solium metacestodes in pigs in northern Tanzania
TL;DR: Eighty three carcasses of pigs were examined at three abattoirs in Moshi, Arusha and Mbulu in northern Tanzania and no hooklets of sizes in the range of 5-37 microns were found indicating that no Taiwan Taenia metacestodes were recovered during carcass examination.
