Squeeze film lubrication of coupled stress electrically conducting inertial fluids in wide parallel rectangular conjunctions subjected to a magnetic field
M. Daliri,D. Jalali-Vahid,Homer Rahnejat +2 more
- 01 Mar 2014
TL;DR: In this paper, an analytical solution of squeeze film characteristics in wide parallel rectangular conjunctions with incompressible electrically conducting couple stress fluids subjected to a magnetic field is presented, where analytical expressions are obtained by combined solution of modified Reynolds equation and Stokes micro-continuum for couple stress fluid with averaged inertia.
Dam-break flow dynamics over a stepped channel with vegetation
Alireza Khoshkonesh,M. Daliri,Khuram Riaz,Fariba Ahmadi Dehrashid,Farhad Bahmanpouri,Silvia Di Francesco +5 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effects of vegetation and channel's step on wave propagation during a dam break across a dry downstream channel were investigated, and the Flow-3D Computational Fluid Dynamics package was used to simulate the flow phenomena during the dam break, adopting different geometric conditions and a densely vegetated area of the downstream channel.

Anti-Plane stress analysis of orthotropic rectangular planes weakened by multiple defects
R.T. Faal,M. Daliri,A.S. Milani +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the solution of a Volterra type screw dislocation problem in an orthotropic rectangular plane with finite length and width and various boundary conditions is obtained by means of a separation of variables technique.

Combined effects of piezo – viscous coupled stress lubricant and rotational inertia upon squeeze film performance of rough circular discs
M. Daliri,D. Jalali-Vahid +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a viscous couple stress lubricant with pressure-dependent viscosity variation was used to investigate squeezing and rotating motions between two rough parallel circular discs lubricated by piezo.

The Performance of Squeeze Film between Parallel Triangular Plates with a Ferro-Fluid Couple Stress Lubricant
TL;DR: In this paper, a couple stress ferrofluid lubricant effects on the performance of the squeezed film when a uniform external magnetic field is applied was investigated, where the considered geometry is parallel triangular plates and the effects of couple stress, volume concentration, and Langevin parameters on squeeze film characteristics including time vs. height relationship and load-carrying capacity were investigated.
