TL;DR: The Agile mission has the purpose to realize, to put in orbit and to operate for two years a small scientific satellite, of MITA class, that will embark a scientific payload for the X and Gamma rays survey and individualization of Gamma Ray Bursts (GRB).
The present work has been carried out by Telespazio under a contract with RTI (Raggruppamento Temporaneo d'Impresa) between Carlo Gavazzi Space and Oerlikon Contraves Italiana. RTI is the ASI main contractor for AGILE program, while Telespazio operates for this program as a sub-contractor of ASI.
