Application of transmission line principles to high frequency power converters
M.C. Smit,J.A. Ferreira,J.D. van Wyk +2 more
- 29 Jun 1992
TL;DR: An approach to the design and analysis of planar electromagnetic integrated reactive components based on transmission line theory is presented in this paper, where it is shown that resonance can occur in a transmission line structure with dimensions much smaller than a quarter wavelength.

Technology for manufacture of integrated planar LC structures for power electronic applications
M.C. Smit,J.A. Ferreira,J.D. van Wyk,Mehrdad Ehsani +3 more
- 06 Aug 2002

A new ultrasonic series resonant converter with integrated L-C-T
M.C. Smit,J.A. Ferreira,J.D. van Wyk,Mehrdad Ehsani +3 more
- 11 Jun 1990
TL;DR: In this article, an integrated structure for the capacitor, inductor, and transformer of a series resonant power converter is presented, where the necessary capacitance can be achieved by using a bifilar primary, and the leakage inductance of the transformer replaces the physical inductor.

An integrated resonant DC-link converter, using planar ceramic capacitor technology
M.C. Smit,J.A. Ferreira,J.D. van Wyk,M.F.K. Holm +3 more
- 20 Jun 1994
TL;DR: In this article, the LC resonant circuit in the resonant DC-link converter is replaced by a planar integrated LC operating at high frequency and high power level, with an integrated passive voltage clamp.

Integrated technology and performance for multi-kilowatt power electronic converters-an evaluation
Ivan W. Hofsajer,J.A. Ferreira,J.D. van Wyk,M.C. Smit +3 more
- 15 Nov 1993
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present an overview of the current state of the technology for electromagnetic integration of high power electronic converters, and some of the materials technologies needed for manufacture are described.
