Fungal disease suppression by inorganic salts: a review.
TL;DR: The published evidence suggests that these 34 inorganic salts are generally less effective than conventional fungicides and could not fully replace them, however, their integration in a disease management strategy may enable a reduction in the number of conventional fungicide applications required.

The water retention capabilities of growing media for green roofs
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the contribution of growing media composition and depth to the water retention capabilities of green roof systems and found that both intra-particle pore spaces and interparticle particle size distribution were important determining factors of both water holding capacity and rainwater retention.

Effect of Dose Rate of Azoxystrobin and Metconazole on the Development of Fusarium Head Blight and the Accumulation of Deoxynivalenol (DON) in Wheat Grain
TL;DR: It is concluded that fungicides, applied for the control of FHB, affect DON concentrations indirectly by influencing the amount of trichothecene-producing Fusarium species present in wheat grain, and there was no evidence that fungicide applications directly increase the concentration of DON in grain.

Molecular studies to identify the Fusarium species responsible for HT-2 and T-2 mycotoxins in UK oats.
TL;DR: The results from this study provide strong evidence that F. langsethiae is the primary, if not sole, fungus responsible for high HT-2 and T-2 in UK oats.
