Studies on the surface free energy components of nitrofurantoin
TL;DR: In this article, surface free energy components, apolar Lifshitz-van der Waals, γSLW, and polar electron donor were determined for nitro-2-furfurylidene)-1-aminohyantoin by both contact angle measurements and the thin-layer wicking technique.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of variations in pH and in concentration of four different amino acids (alanine, glycine, lysine, and threonine) on the electrical properties of the nitrofurantoin/aqueous solution interface is first investigated by the microelectrophoresis method.

Effect of aminoacids on the surface free energy of nitrofurantoin
TL;DR: In this article, a thin-layer wicking technique was used to determine the adsorption of the aminoacids: lysine, alanine and glutamic acid.

Effects of different amino acids on the electrical characteristics of pharmaceutical polymers
TL;DR: The net, pH-dependent charge on the amino acid molecules may significantly affect their interaction with Aquacoat; thus, electrostatic effects seem to be most important in the case of lysine and glutamic acid.
