Development of 4 tesla permanent magnet
M. Kumada,T. Fujisawa,Y. Hirao,M. Endo,M. Aoki,T. Kohda,Inessa Bolshakova,Roman Holyaka +7 more
- 18 Jun 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, strong dipole permanent magnet models for various kinds of accelerator applications are under development at NIRS and field strengths exceeding 4 Tesla in the magnet gap are achieved by an extended Halbach type magnet configuration.
Development of a Model 4 Tesla Diople Magnet
M. Kumada,Yoshihisa Iwashita,M. Aoki,Inessa Bolshakova,Roman Holyaka,M. Endo,T. Fujisawa,T. Kohda,Y. Hirao +8 more
- 01 Jan 2001
TL;DR: In this paper, a model permanent magnet exceeding 4 Tesla was recently designed, manufactured and measured, which can be used in a cyclic accelerator either in cyclotron or in FFAG (fixed field alternating gradient) Accelerator.

Three TESLA magnet-in-magnet
M. Kumada,R. Holyaka,E. Sugiyama,Y. Hirao,M. Aoki,I. Bolshakova,E. Antokhin,M. Endo,Y. Iwashita +8 more
- 01 Jun 2002
TL;DR: A strong field as high as 3 Tesla with little saturation effect is possible in a design of "Magnet-in-Magnet" concept as mentioned in this paper, which was introduced originally in a Snowmass2001 with a motivation to increase the field strength of the Pipetron magnet for VLHC.
