TL;DR: In this paper, a protocol was developed for performing the uncalibrated simulations and then applied to four buildings for which consumption data were available, and the results showed that discrepancies ranged over ±90% between the simulations and the measured data for individual components such as chilled water, hot water, and electricity consumption.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the performance of solar towers and parabolic trough collectors equipped with dry and wet cooling for 10 min interval for three climatic zones, and found that levelized cost of water increases five-fold for areas with extreme water scarcity and is higher for trough than solar tower.

Multi-objective optimization of concentrated solar power plants from an energy-water-environment nexus perspective under distinct climatic conditions – Part A: Techno-economic analysis

TL;DR: In this article , a two-part study was performed to evaluate the technical potential of concentrated solar power plants considering design parameters of solar multiple and integration of thermal energy storage, and it was found that on average, 60 and 75% increase in annual electricity generation and 5 and 7% decrease in levelized cost of electricity was observed with addition of 6 h of storage for solar tower and trough plants, respectively.
