From kinks to compactons
TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with the presence of localized structures in relativistic systems described by a single real scalar field in two-dimensional spacetime, and develop a procedure that helps us to smoothly go from kinks to compactons in the suggested scenario.

Compact Q-balls
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors deal with non-topological solutions of the Q-ball type in two space-time dimensions, in models described by a single complex scalar field that engenders global symmetry.
42
Split Q-balls
TL;DR: In this article, the presence of non-topological solutions of the Q-ball type in ( 1, 1 ) spacetime dimensions was investigated and the model engenders the global U (1 ) symmetry and is of the k-field type, since it contains a new term, of the fourth-order power in the derivative of the complex scalar field.

Geometrically constrained kinklike configurations
TL;DR: In this article, a first-order framework that minimizes the energy of the solutions by introducing an auxiliary function that directly contributes to describe the system is proposed. But the model to be considered is characterized by two real scalar fields and includes a function of one of the two fields that modifies the kinematics associated with the other field.

Exact solutions, energy and charge of stable Q-balls
TL;DR: In this article, the authors deal with nontopological solutions of the Q-ball type in two spacetime dimensions and study models of current interest, described by a Higgs-like and other, similar potentials which unveil the presence of exact solutions.
