Molecule Targeting Glucosyltransferase Inhibits Streptococcus mutans Biofilm Formation and Virulence
Zhi Ren,Tao Cui,Jumei Zeng,Lulu Chen,Wenling Zhang,Xin Xu,Lei Cheng,Mingyun Li,Jiyao Li,Xuedong Zhou,Yuqing Li +10 more
TL;DR: The results represent the first description of a compound that targets Gtfs and that has the capacity to inhibit biofilm formation and the cariogenicity of S. mutans and having the potential to prevent dental caries.

Inhibition of Streptococcus mutans polysaccharide synthesis by molecules targeting glycosyltransferase activity.
TL;DR: In conclusion, inhibition of Gtf activity and the consequential polysaccharide synthesis may impair the virulence of cariogenic biofilms, which could be an alternative strategy to prevent the biofilm-related disease.

Inhibition of Streptococcus mutans biofilm formation, extracellular polysaccharide production, and virulence by an oxazole derivative
TL;DR: Results showed that this oxazole derivative has the capacity to inhibit biofilm formation and cariogenicity of S. mutans, and topical applications with the inhibitor resulted in diminished incidence and severity of both smooth and sulcal surface caries in vivo.

Inhibition of Enterococcus faecalis Growth and Biofilm Formation by Molecule Targeting Cyclic di-AMP Synthetase Activity.
Lulu Chen,Xin Li,Xuedong Zhou,Jumei Zeng,Zhi Ren,Lei Lei,Di Kang,Keke Zhang,Jing Zou,Yuqing Li +9 more
TL;DR: The findings enhance the understanding of the physiological role of c‐di‐AMP in E. faecalis and represent a preliminary study on the ST056083 inhibitory effect and mechanism.

Comparative Study on the Structural Properties and Bioactivities of Three Different Molecular Weights of Lycium barbarum Polysaccharides
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors determined how different molecular weights affected the bioactivity of the Lycium barbarum polysaccharides (LBPs) by ethanol-graded precipitation and ultra-filtration membrane separation.
