Glycodendrimer Nanocarriers for Direct Delivery of Fludarabine Triphosphate to Leukemic Cells: Improved Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of Fludarabine.
Michał Gorzkiewicz,Izabela Jatczak-Pawlik,Maciej Studzian,Łukasz Pułaski,Dietmar Appelhans,Brigitte Voit,Barbara Klajnert-Maculewicz +6 more
TL;DR: Fludarabine is demonstrated to be an optimal candidate for maltose glycodendrimer-mediated drug delivery in antileukemic therapy and complex formation does not change the advantageous multifactorial intracellular pharmacodynamics of Ara-FATP.

Mitochondrial DNA variability of the Polish population.
Justyna Jarczak,Łukasz Grochowalski,Błażej Marciniak,Jakub Lach,Marcin Słomka,Marta Sobalska-Kwapis,Wiesław Lorkiewicz,Łukasz Pułaski,Dominik Strapagiel +8 more
TL;DR: Results of the present study showed that Poles are characterized by the main West Eurasian mtDNA haplogroups and can be considered as genetically homogenous but with slight differences, highlighted at the regional level.
Synthesis, Internalization and Visualization of N-(4-Carbomethoxy) Pyrrolidone Terminated PAMAM [G5:G3-TREN] Tecto(dendrimers) in Mammalian Cells.
Maciej Studzian,Paula Działak,Łukasz Pułaski,David M. Hedstrand,Donald A. Tomalia,Barbara Klajnert-Maculewicz +5 more
TL;DR: This PAMAM [G5:G3-(TREN)]-N-(4-carbomethoxy) pyrrolidone terminated tecto(dendrimer) is able to form a polyplex with double stranded DNA, and is nontoxic for HeLa and HMEC-1 cells up to a concentration of 10 mg/mL, even though it accumulates in endosomal compartments as demonstrated by its unique NTIL emission properties.

Poly(propyleneimine) glycodendrimers non-covalently bind ATP in a pH- and salt-dependent manner - model studies for adenosine analogue drug delivery.
Michał Gorzkiewicz,Adam Buczkowski,Dietmar Appelhans,Brigitte Voit,Łukasz Pułaski,Bartłomiej Pałecz,Barbara Klajnert-Maculewicz +6 more
TL;DR: It was shown that glycodendrimers have the ability to efficiently interact with nucleoside triphosphates and to form stable complexes via electrostatic interactions between the ionized phosphate and amino groups on the nucleotide and the dendrimer, respectively.

Nitroxide Radical-Containing Redox Nanoparticles Protect Neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y Cells against 6-Hydroxydopamine Toxicity.
Monika Pichla,Łukasz Pułaski,Łukasz Pułaski,Katarzyna D. Kania,Ireneusz Stefaniuk,B. Cieniek,Natalia Pieńkowska,Grzegorz Bartosz,Izabela Sadowska-Bartosz +8 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that the mitochondria are the main site of 6-OHDA-induced cellular damage and NRNP1 was better antioxidants in vitro and permeated better the model BBB than free nitroxides.
