TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach that allows us to assess the importance of knowing the carrier and removal status of canine coronavirus as a source of infection for other animals.

Respiratory Rate Greater than 50 per Minute as a Clinical Indicator of Pneumonia in Filipino Children with Cough
Marilla G. Lucero,Thelma E. Tupasi,Ma. Lourdes O. Gomez,Gerardo L. Beltran,Angela U. Crisostomo,Vicente V. Romano,Luis Rivera +6 more
TL;DR: The diagnosis and epidemiology of acute respiratory tract infection in 199 children less than 5 years old were investigated in Manila to test the validity of the use of a respiratory rate of greater than 50/minute for identifying ARI of a severity necessitating treatment with antibiotics.

Association between hemagglutination inhibition antibody titers and protection against RT-PCR confirmed influenza illness in children 6−35 months of age: statistical evaluation of a correlate of protection
Jasur Danier,Andrea Callegaro,Jyoti Soni,Alfoso Carmona,Pope Kosalaraska,Luis Rivera,Damien Friel,Wenji Pu,Valerie Vantomme,Ghassan Dbaibo,Bruce L. Innis,Anne Schuind,Khalequ Zaman,Jerome Wilson +13 more
TL;DR: The study validated HI antibody titer as a statistical CoP, by demonstrating that HI titer is correlated with clinical protection against RT-PCR–confirmed influenza associated with the corresponding influenza strain and is predictive of VE in children 6–35 months of age.

TL;DR: In addition to preventing influenza in 50% of participants, IIV4 attenuated illness severity and disease burden in children who had a breakthrough influenza episode despite vaccination.

TL;DR: IIV4 prevented influenza A and B in children aged 6-35 months despite high levels of vaccine mismatch, and vaccine efficacy was highest against moderate-to-severe disease, which is the most clinically important endpoint associated with greatest burden.
