TL;DR: In this paper, a meta-analysis of data from 45 studies of adults and nine studies of children and adolescents was conducted to confirm or refute unambiguously whether physical activity attenuates the association of FTO with obesity risk.
Gene-lifestyle interaction and type 2 diabetes: the EPIC interact case-cohort study.

TL;DR: The authors found that the relative effect of a type 2 diabetes genetic risk score is greater in younger and leaner participants, and the high absolute risk associated with obesity at any level of genetic risk highlights the importance of universal rather than targeted approaches to lifestyle intervention.
A Fast Method That Uses Polygenic Scores to Estimate the Variance Explained by Genome-wide Marker Panels and the Proportion of Variants Affecting a Trait
Luigi Palla,Frank Dudbridge +1 more
TL;DR: A fast analytic method that uses polygenic scores, based on the formula for the non-centrality parameter of the association test of the score, that provides nearly unbiased estimates and confidence intervals with good coverage, although estimation of the variance is less reliable when jointly estimated with the covariance.

TL;DR: A collaborative re-analysis of data from the InterAct case-control study has established that waist circumference is associated with risk of type 2 diabetes, independently of body mass index.

TL;DR: In this large prospective study, adherence to the MDP, as defined by rMED, was associated with a small reduction in the risk of developing type 2 diabetes in this European population.
