RDC-Based Determination of the Relative Configuration of the Fungicidal Cyclopentenone 4,6-Diacetylhygrophorone A12
Volker Schmidts,Maic Fredersdorf,Tilo Lübken,Andrea Porzel,Norbert Arnold,Ludger A. Wessjohann,Christina M. Thiele +6 more
TL;DR: The hygrophorones, a class of cyclopentenones isolated from fruiting bodies of the genus Hygrophorus (basidiomycetes), show promising antifungal activity and the relative configuration of the exocyclic stereogenic center could not be assigned.

Catalytic enantioselective aryl transfer: asymmetric addition of boronic acids to aldehydes using pyrrolidinylmethanols as ligands
Antonio L. Braga,Diogo S. Lüdtke,Paulo H. Schneider,Fabricio Vargas,Alex Schneider,Ludger A. Wessjohann,Márcio W. Paixão +6 more
TL;DR: Pyrrolidinylmethanols, easily accessible from readily available (S)-proline, were applied in zinc-catalyzed addition of arylboronic acids to aromatic aldehydes; the reaction was found to proceed in excellent yields and high enantioselectivities as mentioned in this paper.

Expeditious Entry to Functionalized Pseudo-peptidic Organoselenide Redox Modulators via Sequential Ugi/SN Methodology
TL;DR: Results indicate that some of the synthesized organoselenides are redox modulating agent with promising anti-cancer and antifungal potentials.

Classification of commercial cultivars of Humulus lupulus L. (hop) by chemometric pixel analysis of two dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectra
Mohamed A. Farag,Mohamed A. Farag,Engy A. Mahrous,Tilo Lübken,Andrea Porzel,Ludger A. Wessjohann +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 2D NMR dataset with principal component analysis (PCA) was used for hop resin classification, and the results showed that the combination of the two datasets can yield promising results.
