Evaluation of Long-Term SOC and Crop Productivity within Conservation Systems Using GFDL CM2.1 and EPIC
Kieu Ngoc Le,Kieu Ngoc Le,Manoj Jha,Jaehak Jeong,Philip W. Gassman,Manuel R. Reyes,Luca Doro,Dat Q. Tran,Lyda Hok +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of climate change, cropping systems, conservation agriculture (CA) and conservation tillage management practices on soil organic carbon (SOC) and yields increase for conservation management systems in tropical zones in response to the next 100 years.

The Variable Saturation Hydraulic Conductivity Method for Improving Soil Water Content Simulation in EPIC and APEX Models
Luca Doro,Curtis D. Jones,James Williams,M. Lee Norfleet,R. Cesar Izaurralde,X. Wang,Jaehak Jeong +6 more
Abstract: We propose VSHC for calculating soil water percolation in continuous models. VSHC relates permeability to daily hydraulic properties to estimate hydraulic conductivity. VSHC performed well at field scale and improved estimates of peak streamflows.

Conservation tillage effects in the Atlantic Coastal Plain: An APEX examination
David D. Bosch,Luca Doro,Jaehak Jeong,X. Wang,James Williams,Oliva Pisani,Dinku M. Endale,Timothy C. Strickland +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used field data collected at a research site located near Tifton, Georgia, were used to evaluate APEX and to quantify long-term benefits of implementing conservation tillage in the Atlantic Coastal Plain region of the United States.

Development of an EPIC parallel computing framework to facilitate regional/global gridded crop modeling with multiple scenarios: A case study of the United States
TL;DR: An E PIC P arallel C omputing F ramework (EPCF) to facilitate regional/global gridded crop modeling and is a system that provides not only the ease of development but also cost-efficiency.
