Clinical significance of detecting circulating tumor cells in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma by EpCAM‑independent enrichment and immunostaining‑fluorescence in situ hybridization
Yaowen Zhang,Jian Li,Lu Wang,Peng Meng,Jiangman Zhao,Peng Han,Jin Xia,Jiangong Xu,Li-Dong Wang,Fang-Fang Shen,Anping Zheng,Fuyou Zhou,Ruitai Fan +12 more
TL;DR: In conclusion, ΔCTC evaluation may be a promising indicator for predicting tumor prognosis and the clinical efficacy of treatment in patients with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
Utilizing ceftazidime/avibactam therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in the treatment of neurosurgical meningitis caused by difficult-to-treat resistant (DTR) Pseudomonas aeruginosa and KPC-producing Enterobacterales
Mohamad Yasmin,Amir Nutman,Lu Wang,Steven M Marshall,Ke Chen,Jiping Wang,Dafna Yahav,Liad Lupinsky,Andrea M. Hujer,Adarsh Bhimraj,David van Duin,Jian Li,R. A. Bonomo +12 more
TL;DR: Therapy with ceftazidime-avibactam (CAZ-AVI) was evaluated in patients with complicated CNS infections caused by antimicrobial-resistant isolates and it was found that standard CAZ and AVI exposures sufficiently attained values correlating to 50% fT > MIC, which are associated with efficient bacterial killing.

Population Pharmacokinetic/Toxicodynamic Model for Polymyxin B in Critically Ill Patients to Identify the Risk of Nephrotoxicity.
Patrick O. Hanafin,Ramya Mahadevan,Gauri G. Rao,Alexandre P. Zavascki,Ana Maria Sandri,Andrea Kwa,Marc H. Scheetz,Christine J. Kubin,Jayesh Shah,Benjamin Pei Zhi Cherng,Michael T Yin,Jiping Wang,Lu Wang,David P. Calfee,Maureen Bolon,Anthony W. Purcell,Roger L Nation,Jason M. Pogue,Jian Li,Keith S Kaye +19 more
TL;DR: A population pharmacokinetic/toxicodynamic model for polymyxin B in critically ill patients identified nephrotoxicity risk, suggesting that low to high exposures can minimize acute kidney injury over 14 days, but supratherapeutic exposure is safer for shorter durations.
Disposition of colistin in critically-ill patients on sustained low-efficiency dialysis: a population pharmacokinetic study.
A Boonyasiri,Dominika T. Fuhs,Thummaporn Naorungroj,Lu Wang,Jiping Wang,Ranistha Ratanarat,Roger L. Nation,Visanu Thamlikitkul,Cornelia B. Landersdorfer +8 more
A population pharmacokinetic model of polymyxin B based on prospective clinical data to inform dosing in hospitalised patients.
Patrick O. Hanafin,Andrea L. Kwa,Alexandre P. Zavascki,Ana Maria Sandri,Marc H. Scheetz,Christine J. Kubin,Jayesh Shah,Benjamin Pei Zhi Cherng,Michael T. Yin,Jiping Wang,Lu Wang,David P. Calfee,Maureen K. Bolon,Jason M. Pogue,Anthony W. Purcell,Roger L. Nation,Jian Li,Keith S. Kaye,Gauri G. Rao +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors developed a population pharmacokinetic (PK) model with data from the largest polymyxin B-treated patient population studied to date to optimize its dosing in hospitalized patients.
