The relationship between elevation and seed-plant species richness in the Mt. Namjagbarwa region (Eastern Himalayas) and its underlying determinants
TL;DR: The findings reconfirmed that the elevational richness gradient is influenced by many processes, including ecological factors and evolutionary history, and suggested the need to consider more factors in order to determine key mechanisms in future studies.

Diversity patterns of cushion plants on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau: A basic study for future conservation efforts on alpine ecosystems
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assessed spatial patterns of total cushion plant diversity (including taxonomic and phylogenetic) over the entire Qinghai-Tibet Plateau (QTP) and compared patterns of diversity of cushion plants with different typologies (i.e., compact vs. loose).

Species distribution modelling and seed germination of four threatened snow lotus (Saussurea), and their implication for conservation
TL;DR: Plasticity in the seed regeneration trait may counteract the projected narrowing of the species distribution range based on macro-environmental modelling, indicating an urgent need to integrate in situ and ex situ conservation of snow lotus populations in the subnival belt of Southwest China.
