Long term operation of a solar assisted ground coupled heat pump system for space heating and domestic hot water
Chen Xi,Lu Lin,Yang Hongxing +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a solar-assisted ground-coupled heat pump (SAGCHP) system with heat storage for space heating and domestic hot water (DHW) supply is presented.

Influence of Phase-Shift and Overlap Ratio on Savonius Wind Turbine’s Performance
TL;DR: In this article, the authors explored the interaction effect of the overlap ratio, phase-shift, and stage on the performance of the Savonius rotors in details and showed that appropriate choice of the phase shift angle according to overlap ratio can not only increase the power coefficient but also eliminate the negative static torque and smooth the variation of the static torque coefficient.

Energy Consumption of Solar-assisted Internally Cooled/Heated Liquid Desiccant Air-conditioning System in Hong Kong
Qi Ronghui,Lu Lin +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the operation performance of the SLDAC of a typical commercial building in Hong Kong was investigated, for evaluating the energy-saving potential, and the simulation results showed that the electricity driven LDAC is not suitable for the commercial building due to the high energy demand in the regeneration.

Optimum design of hybrid solar-wind-diesel power generation system using genetic algorithm
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an optimum design method for sizing stand-alone hybrid solar-wind- diesel system with the help of genetic algorithm (GA), which is achieved not only by selecting an appropriate system configuration, but also by finding a suitable control strategy for the diesel generator.
