Flag leaf cell wall functional groups and components play a crucial role in the accumulation and translocation of Cd in rice grain via foliage application of humic acid.
Xiaozhou Deng,Mingwei Chen,Yixuan Chen,Lu Jiang,Yumin Hu,Yang Yang,Xiangming Rong,Liang Peng,Qingru Zeng +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the effects of applying humic acid (HA) to foliage twice, at the booting and full heading stage, on diminishing the translocation of cadmium (Cd) into rice grains were evaluated.

Microfibers shed from synthetic textiles during laundry: Flow to wastewater treatment plants or release to receiving waters through storm drains?
TL;DR: In this paper , Menéndez-Manjón et al. used a simulated laundry experiment to determine the amount of microplastic particles (MPs) shed in the laundry process, and the results showed that the use of a front-load machine and liquid laundry detergent pods (LDPs) can reduce MP shedding.

Diesel degradation capability and environmental robustness of strain Pseudomonas aeruginosa WS02.
Penghong Luo,Yankui Tang,Jiahua Lu,Lu Jiang,Yiting Huang,Qiming Jiang,Xuemin Chen,Tianfu Qin,Holly Alice Shiels +8 more
TL;DR: The broad-spectrum diesel degradation efficacy and great environmental robustness give P. aeruginosa WS02 great potential for application in the remediation of PHC-contaminated soil.

Mn(II) Sorption on Stream Sediments Sampled in Manganese Mining Area: Dynamics and Mechanisms
TL;DR: In this article , the effects of various factors (initial concentration, solution pH, sediment dose, contact time, and coexisting cations) on the Mn sorption efficiency of Daxin sediments, and explored the contribution of microbial activity in the sediment sorption of Mn(II).
Long-term manganese exposure-mediated benthic diatom assemblage in a subtropical stream: Distribution, substrate preferences and Mn-tolerance
TL;DR: In this paper , DNA sequencing and morphological analysis were used to explore the distribution, abundances, diversities, and habitat preference of diatoms species, including Navicula, Diatoma, Nitzschia and Gomphonema.
