A Synthetic Compound, 1,5-bis(2-methoxyphenyl)penta-1,4-dien-3-one (B63), Induces Apoptosis and Activates Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Cells
Jian Xiao,Yi Wang,Jing Peng,Lu Guo,Jie Hu,Menghua Cao,Xie Zhang,Han-Qing Zhang,Zhouguang Wang,Xiaokun Li,Shulin Yang,Huiling Yang,Guang Liang,Guang Liang +13 more
TL;DR: A novel monocarbonyl analog of curcumin, 1,5‐bis(2‐methoxyphenyl) penta‐1,4‐dien‐3‐one (B63), designed and synthesized, which exhibited a higher chemical stability in cultural medium and a better intracellular profile than curcuming.

Curcumin analogue, A13, exhibits anti-leukemia effect via inhibiting STAT3
Qiaoyou Weng,Luqing Ren,Lu Guo,Yan Hu,Haixia Zhou,Yuyan Bao,Lingfeng Chen,Guang Liang,Yi Wang,Jichen Ruan +9 more
TL;DR: The data show that the A13 treatment could effectively be applied to acute leukemia via inhibiting STAT3 signaling pathway, and systemic treatment with A13 in the A20-bearing mice for 60 days resulted in a significant improvement of survival rate and marked reduction of liver metastasis.

Inhibition of JNK Phosphorylation by Curcumin Analog C66 Protects LPS-Induced Acute Lung Injury [Corrigendum]
Zhongxiang Xiao,Fengli Xu,Xiaona Zhu,Bin Bai,Lu Guo,Guang Liang,Xiaoou Shan,Yali Zhang,Yunjie Zhao,Bing Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic approach to estimating the number of mitochondria in the response of the Higgs boson, which is a type of “spatially aggregating substance” similar to Higgs Boson.
