TL;DR: The intake of trans-anethole did not exceed the acceptable daily intake, but PFS should be taken into account when assessing the total exposure, and the intakes of kaempferol, quercetin, luteolin, matairesinol and lignans were low in comparison with their dietary supply.

TL;DR: Exposures on a body weight basis were higher in younger compared to older children and the OIM method results in an overestimation of the percentage of the population exceeding a provisional tolerable weekly intake which is of relevance for risk management decisions.

TL;DR: Long-term dietary exposure to selenium in young children living in 12 different European countries was assessed and showed differences in exposure between countries based on food consumption patterns and decreased exposure with increased age.

TL;DR: Results suggest a positive association between heavy smoking and central fatness among men, but no association between former smoking and general/central fatness; findings strengthen arguments for promoting smoking cessation to reduce smoking -and obesity- associated morbidity and mortality.
