Traditional Chinese medicine baicalin suppresses mESCs proliferation through inhibition of miR-294 expression.
Jian Wang,Jacob Masika,Jianxia Zhou,Jun Wang,Minjie Zhu,Hongyan Luo,Xinwu Hu,Liang-pin Zhang,Ming Tang,Linlin Gao,Juergen Hescheler,Huamin Liang +11 more
TL;DR: Baicalin down-regulation of miR-294 may be its key mechanism of action in decreasing mESC proliferation and c-fos/c-jun expression.
Adenylyl cyclase/cAMP-PKA-mediated phosphorylation of basal L-type Ca(2+) channels in mouse embryonic ventricular myocytes.
Xisheng Yan,Shijun Gao,Ming Tang,Jiaoya Xi,Linlin Gao,Minjie Zhu,Hongyan Luo,Xinwu Hu,Yunjie Zheng,Jürgen Hescheler,Huamin Liang +10 more
TL;DR: The high basal level of LTCC phosphorylation is due to the high intrinsic PKA activity and the high intrinsically AC activity at EDS, possibly owing to the little or no effect of Ca(2+) influx via LTCCs on AC activity, leading to the inability to inhibit AC.

Roles of I(f) and Intracellular Ca2+ Release in Spontaneous Activity of Ventricular Cardiomyocytes During Murine Embryonic Development
TL;DR: It is concluded that in murine embryonic ventricular cells I(f) regulates firing rate, while RyRs and IP3Rs (early stage) or RyRs (late stage)‐mediated ICR determines the occurrence of APs.

Molecular and functional changes in voltage-gated Na⁺ channels in cardiomyocytes during mouse embryogenesis.
Liangzhu Yu,Shijun Gao,Li Nie,Ming Tang,Weifeng Huang,Hongyan Luo,Xinwu Hu,Jiaoya Xi,Minjie Zhu,Yunjie Zheng,Linlin Gao,Lanqiu Zhang,Yuanlong Song,Jürgen Hescheler,Huamin Liang +14 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that significant changes in the functional properties of Na⁺ channels develop in the cardiomyocytes of the mouse embryo, and that different Na⁻ channel subunit genes are strongly regulated during embryogenesis, which further support a physiological role for voltage-gated Na⁚ channels during heart development.

Muscarinic cholinergic regulation of L-type calcium channel in heart of embryonic mice at different developmental stages.
Huamin Liang,Ming Tang,Changjin Liu,Hongyan Luo,Yuanlong Song,Xinwu Hu,Jiaoya Xi,Linlin Gao,Bin Nie,Su-Yun Li,Ling-Ling Lai,Juergen Hescheler +11 more
TL;DR: The inhibitoryaction of CCh on I(Ca-L) current was mediated in different pathways: in EDS, the inhibitory action of M-receptor on I (Ca- L) channel mainly depended on the stimulation of PDE, however, in LDS, the regulation by M- receptors on I-L channel mainly depends on the inactivation of AC.
