Thrombospondin-1 Is a Putative Target Gene of Runx2 and Runx3
TL;DR: Results provide first line of evidence that TSP-1 is a transcriptional target gene of Runx2 and Runx3, the two key regulators of the aforementioned processes: osteogenesis and cancer.

Structure Elucidation of Fucan Sulfate from Sea Cucumber Holothuria fuscopunctata through a Bottom-Up Strategy and the Antioxidant Activity Analysis
Libiao Gao,Chen Xu,Xue-Fen Tao,Zhichuang Zuo,Zimo Ning,Linghui Wang,Na Gao,Jinhua Zhao +7 more
TL;DR: The antioxidant activity assays in vitro showed that FSI and the depolymerized product (dFSI′) had potent activities for superoxide radical scavenging activity with IC50 of 65.71 and 83.72 μg/mL, respectively, while there was no scavenging effect on DPPH, hydroxyl and ABTS radicals.
Analysis of HDAC1-mediated regulation of Runx2-induced osteopontin gene expression in C3h10t1/2 cells
Zhongli Zhang,Vishwa Deepak,Lingyi Meng,Linghui Wang,Yushan Li,Qing Jiang,Xianlu Zeng,Wenguang Liu +7 more
TL;DR: HDAC1 not only plays a critical role in regulation of Runx2-stimulated expression of osteogenic genes, like OPN, but also regulate the proliferation and differentiation stages of mesenchymal progenitor cells, such as C3h10t1/2.

Runx3 inhibits melanoma cell migration through regulation of cell shape change.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that ectopic Runx3 re‐expression in B16‐F10 melanoma cells changed the cell shape from elongated and branched to spread and unbranched, which enhanced stress fiber formation, increased the number of mature and fibrillar focal adhesions, and up‐regulated fibronectin expression.
