Revisiting the L-Dopa Response as a Predictor of Motor Outcomes After Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease.
Zhengyu Lin,Xiaoxiao Zhang,Linbin Wang,Yingying Zhang,Haiyan Zhou,Qingfang Sun,Bomin Sun,Peng Huang,Dianyou Li +8 more
TL;DR: A solid therapeutic effect of GPi-DBS in treating L-dopa-responsive tremors is suggested, and a negative effect of age at the time of surgery on motor outcomes of STN-dBS, a possible preference of STn- to GPi’s DBS in L- dopa-resistant tremor control, is suggested in elderly PD patients who have a satisfactory dopamine response.
Pallidal stimulation as treatment for camptocormia in Parkinson’s disease
Yijie Lai,Yunhai Song,Daoqing Su,Linbin Wang,Chencheng Zhang,Bomin Sun,Jorik Nonnekes,Bastiaan R. Bloem,Dianyou Li +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of GPi-DBS for treating camptocormia in a retrospective Parkinson's disease cohort was investigated, and the results showed that the improvement in TCC angle was positively associated with pre-surgical TCC angles, levodopa responsiveness of the TCC Angle, and structural connectivity from volume of tissue activated to somatosensory cortex.
Deep Brain Stimulation of the Internal Globus Pallidus Improves Response Initiation and Proactive Inhibition in Patients With Parkinson's Disease.
Yixin Pan,Linbin Wang,Yingying Zhang,Chencheng Zhang,Xian Qiu,Yuyan Tan,Haiyan Zhou,Bomin Sun,Dianyou Li +8 more
TL;DR: GPi-DBS may lead to an increase in response initiation speed and improve the dysfunctional proactive inhibitory control observed in PD patients, and may help to understand the role of the GPi in cortical-basal ganglia circuits.
Acute Time-Locked Alpha Frequency Subthalamic Stimulation Reduces Negative Emotional Bias in Parkinson's Disease.
Alekhya Mandali,Luis Manssuer,Yijie Zhao,Chencheng Zhang,Linbin Wang,Qiong Ding,Yixin Pan,Dianyou Li,Bomin Sun,Valerie Voon +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors found that alpha frequency stimulation increased the subjective pleasantness of negative imagery, particularly with ventromedial contacts, and higher depression scores were associated with a positive bias to 10-Hz but not 130-Hz stimulation.

Subthalamic Stimulation for Camptocormia in Parkinson's Disease: Association of Volume of Tissue Activated and Structural Connectivity with Clinical Effectiveness
Yijie Lai,Yunhai Song,Peng Huang,Tao Wang,Linbin Wang,Yixin Pan,Qingfang Sun,Bomin Sun,Chencheng Zhang,Dianyou Li +9 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that both VTA overlap with STN and structural connectivity to cortical motor regions are associated with the effectiveness of STN-DBS for managing camptocormia in PD.
