Alcohols electrooxidation coupled with H2 production at high current densities promoted by a cooperative catalyst
Zhenhua Li,Yifan Yan,Simin Xu,Hua Zhou,Ming Xu,Lina Ma,Ming Shao,Xianggui Kong,Bin Wang,Lirong Zheng,Haohong Duan +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reported the electrooxidation of benzyl alcohol coupled with H2 production at high current density (540 mA cm-2 at 1.5 V vs RHE) over a cooperative catalyst of Au nanoparticles supported on cobalt oxyhydroxide nanosheets (Au/CoOOH).

Scalable electrosynthesis of commodity chemicals from biomass by suppressing non-Faradaic transformations.
Hua Zhou,Yue Ren,Bingxin Yao,Zhenhua Li,Ming Xu,Lina Ma,Xianggui Kong,Lirong Zheng,Ming Shao,Haohong Duan +9 more
TL;DR: Researchers develop a scalable electrochemical reactor that suppresses non-Faradaic degradation, enabling efficient conversion of biomass to valuable chemicals like formate and 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid at high concentrations and kilogram scales.

Amide Bond Formation through Iron-Catalyzed Oxidative Amidation of Tertiary Amines with Anhydrides
TL;DR: Mechanistic studies indicated that the in situ-generated α-amino peroxide of tertiary amine and iminium ion act as key intermediates in this oxidative transformation.

Efficient photocatalytic epoxidation of styrene over a quantum-sized SnO2 on carbon nitride as a heterostructured catalyst
Min Li,Lina Ma,Lan Luo,Yuguang Liu,Ming Xu,Hua Zhou,Yeli Wang,Zhenhua Li,Xianggui Kong,Haohong Duan +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , a quantum-sized SnO 2 on 2D graphitic carbon nitride (CN) as a heterostructured catalyst, which displays efficient photocatalytic styrene epoxidation at room temperature using O 2 as a mild oxidant, achieving styrene conversion of 98.1% and styrene oxide yield of 71.8%.
