Granzyme B secretion by human memory CD4 T cells is less strictly regulated compared to memory CD8 T cells
Lin Lin,Lin Lin,Lin Lin,Jacob Couturier,Xiaoying Yu,Miguel A. Medina,Claudia A. Kozinetz,Dorothy E. Lewis +7 more
TL;DR: Although measurement of intracellular GrzB by flow cytometry suggests that a larger proportion of CD8 T cells have higher capacity for Grzb production compared to CD4 T cells, ELISpot and ELISA show that similar numbers of activated CD4 and CD8T cells secrete similar amounts of Grz B.
HIV replication in conjunction with granzyme B production by CCR5+ memory CD4 T cells: implications for bystander cell and tissue pathologies
Jacob Couturier,Alexander Hutchison,Miguel A. Medina,Cosmina Gingaras,Petri Urvil,Xiaoying Yu,Chi Nguyen,Parag Mahale,Lin Lin,Claudia A. Kozinetz,Joern E. Schmitz,Jason T. Kimata,Tor C. Savidge,Dorothy E. Lewis +13 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that GrzB from CCR5+ memory CD4 T cells may have a role in cellular and tissue pathologies during HIV infection.
