Nonlinear Optics: Technologies and Applications

The present invention relates to an optical fiber transmission system based on an ultra-short wave radio set. The system comprises an emission access and a receiving access which are mainly formed bya near-end host, a far-end amplifier and an optical fiber transmission module being in bridge connection between the near-end host and the far-end amplifier. The optical fiber transmission system doesnot need to change the original structure of an ultra-short wave radio set, is independent of hardware platform performances and is simple and rapid to implement. The near-end host is configured to perform sampling and processing of intermediate frequency information of the ultra-short wave radio set and combine the intermediate frequency information to combine data frames for sending through a photoelectric converter. The received photoelectric signals are employed to analyze the data frames, and the intermediate frequency information is returned to the ultra-short wave radio set. The far-end amplifier is configured to process radio frequency information received by an antenna to combine control signals to form data frames for sending through the photoelectric converter, and received photoelectric signals are employed to analyze the data frames to generate intermediate frequency information through a digital frequency synthesizer, and the intermediate frequency information is processed and sent by a radio frequency module. The optical fiber transmission system based on the ultra-short wave radio set is implemented based on an Xilinx FPGA processor to meet a design demand by employing few resources and a high processing speed.

Fiber-based Optical Parametric Amplifiers and Their Applications

The ultra-short pulse optical parametric amplification based on continuous wave pump and pulse signal model is
investigated by solving three nonlinear Schrodinger equations numerically. The effect of the order of soliton is presented
by comparing the evolution process of signal pulse and the changing of root mean square width of signal. The
phenomenon of signal pulse splitting and the broadening of the pulse will appear in the amplification process. Larger
order of the soliton makes the pulse split at first, then begin to broaden. Smaller order of the soliton leads to the
broadening of pulse firstly, then the pulse begin to split after propagating in a section of fiber.
