Increasing Solar Absorption of Atomically Thin 2D Carbon Nitride Sheets for Enhanced Visible-Light Photocatalysis.
Yong Wang,Peipei Du,Hongzhe Pan,Lin Fu,Yu Zhang,Jie Chen,Youwei Du,Nujiang Tang,Gang Liu,Gang Liu +9 more
TL;DR: This approach can greatly increase the visible-light absorption of CNS by extending the absorption edge up to 578 nm and can introduce cyano groups into the framework of CNS as well as the accompanied nitrogen vacancies at the edges, which leads to both narrowing the bandgap and changing the charge distribution.

Enhancing the magnetism of 2D carbide MXene Ti3C2Tx by H2 annealing
TL;DR: In this article, the magnetic properties of the as-prepared and annealed two-dimensional transition metal carbide MXene were investigated, and the results showed that the very weak paramagnetism exhibited by the MXene exhibits very weak magnetism.

Realization of Strong Room-Temperature Ferromagnetism in Atomically Thin 2D Carbon Nitride Sheets by Thermal Annealing.
Yong Wang,Yong Wang,Yilv Guo,Zhaokun Wang,Lin Fu,Yu Zhang,Yong-Jie Xu,Shijun Yuan,Hongzhe Pan,Youwei Du,Jinlan Wang,Nujiang Tang +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, strong room-temperature (RT) ferromagnetism with a high Curie temperature of ca. 524.2 K was achieved by annealing carbon nitride sheets (CNs) at 700 °C.

Realization of ultrathin red 2D carbon nitride sheets to significantly boost the photoelectrochemical water splitting performance of TiO2 photoanodes
Yong Wang,Yu Zhang,Maoyun Di,Lin Fu,Hongzhe Pan,Kaiyu Zhang,Yongjie Xu,Shicheng Yan,Chunfeng Zhang,Youwei Du,Nujiang Tang +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 2D widebandgap material of 2D carbon nitride sheets (CNs) was used to achieve a strong band-to-band visible-light absorption band.
