Evolution of Li2O2 growth and its effect on kinetics of Li-O2 batteries.
TL;DR: By controlling the growth of Li2O2, the chemical reactivity of the discharge product can be suppressed to improve the reversibility of Li-O2 batteries.

Formation of Zn1-xMnxS nanowires within mesoporous silica of different pore sizes
Felix J. Brieler,Petra Grundmann,Michael Fröba,Limei Chen,Peter J. Klar,Wolfram Heimbrodt,Hans-Albrecht Krug von Nidda,Thomas Kurz,Alois Loidl +8 more
TL;DR: Arrays of highly ordered Zn(1-x)MnxS quantum wires synthesized within mesoporous SiO2 host structures of the MCM-41 and SBA-15 type and the high degree of order were confirmed by X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies.

Raman studies of ZnO:Co thin films
Huijuan Zhou,Limei Chen,Vivek Kumar Malik,Vivek Kumar Malik,Christoph Knies,Detlev M. Hofmann,Kanwal Preet Bhatti,Sujeet Chaudhary,Peter J. Klar,Wolfram Heimbrodt,Claus F. Klingshirn,Heinz Kalt +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate cobalt doped ZnO thin films prepared via different sol-gel methods and demonstrate that XRD is not a suitable method to rule out the existence of magnetic secondary phases in ZnOs doped with transition metals.

Optical Spectroscopic Studies of N‐Related Bands in Ga(N, As)
H. Grüning,Limei Chen,Th. Hartmann,P. J. Klar,Wolfram Heimbrodt,F. Höhnsdorf,J. Koch,Wolfgang Stolz +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the unusual band formation at the Γ-point and in the vicinity of the L-point in the alloy system Ga(N, As) was investigated by various spectroscopic methods.

Ordered arrays of II/VI diluted magnetic semiconductor quantum wires: formation within mesoporous MCM-41 silica.
Felix J. Brieler,Michael Fröba,Limei Chen,Peter J. Klar,Wolfram Heimbrodt,Hans-Albrecht Krug von Nidda,Alois Loidl +6 more
TL;DR: A novel way of synthesising highly ordered arrays of hollow Cd(1-x)Mn(x)S quantum wires with lateral dimensions of 3-4 nm separated by 1-2 nm SiO2 barriers is presented, which confirms the high degree of order of the incorporated (Cd,Mn)S guest.
