A high‐performance transition‐metal phosphide electrocatalyst for converting solar energy into hydrogen at 19.6% STH efficiency
Hua Zhang,A. Aierke,Yingtang Zhou,Zitao Ni,Ligang Feng,An-min Chen,Thomas Wågberg,Guangzhi Hu +7 more
TL;DR: Er-NiCoP/NF as discussed by the authors is a bifunctional NiCoP nanowire array in situ grown on conductive nickel foam, which shows exceptional catalytic activity, which only requires overpotentials of 46 and 225 mV to afford a current density of 10 mA cm−2 for the hydrogen evolution reaction and the oxygen evolution reaction, respectively.

Recent Advances in Co-Based Electrocatalysts for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction.
TL;DR: The recent progress of the advanced Co-based HER electrocatalysts is discussed, emphasizing that the application of the above design strategies can significantly improve performance by regulating the electronic structure and optimizing the binding energy to the crucial intermediates as mentioned in this paper.

Electrochemical hydrogen evolution efficiently boosted by interfacial charge redistribution in Ru/MoSe2 embedded mesoporous hollow carbon spheres
TL;DR: In this paper , the combined advantages of MoSe2, Ru, and hollow carbon spheres in the form of Ru nanoparticles (NPs) anchored on a two-dimensional ordered mesoporous hollow carbon sphere surface (Ru/MoSe2@MHCS) were revealed for the largely boosted hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance.
