XAF1 Protects Host against Emerging RNA Viruses by Stabilizing IRF1-Dependent Antiviral Immunity
Yu Han,Xue Bai,Siying Liu,Jingfei Zhu,Fan Zhang,Lifen Xie,Guodi Liu,Xiaohui Jiang,Mingchao Zhang,Yingkang Huang,Jingfeng Wang,Dapei Li,Huiying Zhang,Yuanqing He,Sudan He,Yu Xia,Xiulong Xu,Feng Xu,Feng Ma +18 more
TL;DR: This study finds that XAF1 is significantly upregulated in the host cells infected with emerging RNA viruses, including influenza, Zika virus (ZIKV), and SARS-CoV-2, and elucidated the molecular mechanism that IRF1 andXAF1 form a positive feedback loop to induce rapid and robust antiviral immunity.
