Effects of the morphology of inkjet printed zinc oxide (ZnO) on thin film transistor performance and seeded ZnO nanorod growth
TL;DR: In this article, the relationship between IJP parameters and pattern morphology was studied for improving thin-film transistor performance, and different morphologies of ZnO nanorods on specific regions of seed layers were elucidated based on non-uniform surfactant distribution.

Gain-assisted propagation of surface plasmon polaritons via electrically pumped quantum wells
TL;DR: This study paves a way for electrically manipulated amplification of SPPs in plasmonic circuits with InGaAsP quantum wells at telecom wavelength.

A facile and generic strategy to synthesize large-scale carbon nanotubes
TL;DR: In this article, an easy method to prepare carbon nanotubes (CNTs) has been demonstrated using a two-step refluxing and calcination process using a readily available inorganic salt, Ni(NO3)2 ˙ 6H2O, used as the catalyst precursor was dissolved in the high-boiling-point organic solvents (alcohols or polyhydric alcohol).
Synthesis of symmetrical hexagonal-shape PbO nanosheets using gold nanoparticles
Shuwen Zeng,Shuwen Zeng,Yen-Nan Liang,Haifei Lu,Libo Wang,Xuan-Quyen Dinh,Xia Yu,Ho-Pui Ho,Xiao Hu,Ken-Tye Yong +9 more
TL;DR: Anisotropic growth of PbO with symmetrical hexagonal-shape nanosheet morphology was demonstrated for the first time via solution phase synthesis in the presence of Au nanoparticles at room temperature as discussed by the authors.

Polymerothermal Synthesis – A Facile and Versatile Method towards Functional Nanocomposites
TL;DR: In this article, a facile and one-step method was used for the preparation of functional nanoparticles (NPs)/polymer nanocomposite, based on regularly dispersed and zinc oxide (ZnO) quantum dot sized NPs in different polymer matrices without agglomeration.
