TL;DR: In this paper, a non-contact three-dimensional profile meter is used for obtaining a sampling array on the machined surface, and then roughness values of all samples in the sampling array are calculated; and a frequency histogram is drawn for the roughness of the 3D surfaces of the samples in sampling array, gaussian fitting is conducted to obtain the average value u and the standard deviation sigma of a fitting gaussian function, and the quality of the cut surface of the carbon fiber composite is characterized through (u+/-3 sigma).
