TL;DR: Results demonstrate that TPS culture promotes the proliferation of chondrocytes compared to static culture as shown by DNA content and histochemical staining, and the TPS bioreactor is an effective means to enhance the proliferation and phenotype maintenance of chonerocytes in vitro.
