Solar‐assisted heat pumps have the potential to increase the share of renewables in the energy systems for several cases, or to increase the flexibility of smart grids and integrated thermal‐electric grids. The development of such systems requires a comprehensive approach in which technical, market, and social acceptance are all tackled at the same time. Such a holistic approach is the main objective of the present review article. To do so, an investigation is performed by categorizing the integration approaches reported in the literature, exploiting the solar source either as a low‐temperature evaporator source or as supporting the condenser during heating operation. Furthermore, hybrid integration schematics and dual‐source approaches are discussed. Market and social aspects complete the analysis, with the aim of finally identifying the current status; the main drivers and challenges are also addressed. The reported results confirm that the exploitation of solar thermal energy can increase the achievable performance of heat pumps in a broad range of climates. A favorable regulatory/financial framework and informative campaigns for businesspersons and the wide public have been identified as the main solutions to maximize the deployment of the technology in the coming years.

Analysis of the Potential of Solar‐Assisted Heat Pumps: Technical, Market, and Social Acceptance Aspects

The work is devoted to the study of performance of a multilevel electric energy converter using phase-shifted pulse-width modulation. Equations describing the state of a dynamic system multilevel converter - load are investigated and a mathematical model of the system in Matlab / Simulink environment has been constructed. Variants of implementation of phase-shifted pulse-width modulation systems from the point of view of influence on harmonics of output voltage and magnitude of circulating current in the converter are investigated.

Robot motion control and execution involving more than three stepping motors is always a difficult problem.Introduced the design of multiple stepping motor control system composed of the three stepping motors,DSP and drive system.Presented control method of three stepping motor by a DSP platform,and gived each motor control pins and a memory arrangement method and different algorithms.Posture control of the robot can be achieved based on the multiple stepping motors speed and position control,the method also can be used to control system test,demonstration and so on.

Design on Control System of Motors Based on DSP

The rapid development of PV power generation has led to numerous problems of system operation and PV power consumption. As a new type of heat pump, the air source heat pump has advantages of energy saving, environment protection and good flexibility. In this paper, PV generation power during generation peak time is consumed by air source heat pumps to produce and storage heat. First, this paper establishes a basic thermophysical model of air source heat pump and analyzes the method of using air source heat pumps to consume PV generation power. Second, a control strategy for consuming PV generation power by clustering air source heat pumps with different parameters is proposed. Then, a multi-objective scheduling model of air source heat pumps is presented. Finally, NSGA-II is used to solve the multi-objective model, and the corresponding Pareto optimal solutions are obtained. The simulation results show that the model proposed in this paper can well follow the PV generation output, reduce the PV power curtailment and heating cost of users.

Novel control strategy and modeling of air source heat pump for consuming PV power

Due to the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, the urbanization process in rural areas has been accelerated in China, as the economy has grown more rapidly and energy consumption has increased. Rural power infrastructure, however, remains inadequate and the rural power grid is relatively weak, which further exacerbates the contradiction between rural energy supply and demand. To solve these problems and achieve sustainable development, renewable energy sources should be utilized for energy supply in rural areas to reduce the demand for power from rural grids. Using this idea, this paper proposes an optimization method for an integrated energy system for rural areas that includes renewable energy sources. Firstly, a model of the output of equipment such as wind and solar biogas, as well as the model of energy storage equipment, is constructed. A portion of flexible load is considered when estimating energy consumption on the demand side. A day-ahead optimization model for rural energy systems is designed to minimize costs, which allows different energy sources to play complementary roles under the constraints of power balance, output limits, etc. The approach proposed in this paper may provide a comprehensive solution for optimizing the operation of an integrated rural energy system by improving its energy efficiency and maximizing its use of renewable energy resources. Furthermore, the article also provides specific examples of the feasibility of the method.

Study on optimization method of rural integrated energy system including renewable energy

This article introduces the principle of a solar air-source heat pump water heater system, and using a hotel in Tianjin as the research object to the dynamic characteristics of the actual operation is based on the establishment of a focus on maximizing the use of solar hot water system and improve the system integrated energy efficiency energy saving control method then using the BP neural network model to establish a system of solar collectors, as well as according to the formula derived and established a model of air source heat pump collectors through a series of experiments to verify the accuracy and feasibility of the model and proposed the control scheme predictions for the system in the future promote the use of energy provides a theoretical guidance.

Solar air-source heat pump hot water unit control system design

To further achieve the uniform control mode of one leader with multi-followers of the stepping motor, the fieldbus method is adopted to control the stepping motor and its drive. In the aspect of communication, the RTU mode in Modbus protocol is used, the data are transmitted between upper computer and stepping motor via RS485 bus, and the communication is interrupted to detect the data error during communication. In practical test, the driver breakdown in the driver control system of stepping motor after data error transmission is effectively reduced.

Modular multilevel converter (MMC) start-up is the key to solve the problem for MMC-HVDC. This paper designs a new topology based on VSC-MMC and a step-by-step method is proposed to suppress the DC voltage drop of the momentary valve in the traditional topology. Based on the PSCAD / EMTDC simulation platform, a 11-level simulation model is proposed to verify the feasibility of this topology.

A study on modular multilevel converter topology to inhibit DC voltage drop

The invention provides an MMC system with the abilities of quick start and direct current voltage drop suppression, and discloses a modular multi-level converter topological structure. The system comprises a main controller, a valve-based controller VBC and a three-phase six-bridge arm circuit topological structure. A number of MMC systems are combined and applied to a high voltage direct current flexible transmission system. The starting method is simple and easy. Direct current voltage drop in the start process can be effectively suppressed. Quick MMC start is realized. The requirement of a power electronic device is lower. The scalability is great. The MMC system can be applied to overhead line flexible direct current transmission, multi-terminal flexible direct current transmission and other occasions.
