Reverse atom transfer radical polymerization of acrylonitrile under microwave irradiation
TL;DR: In this article, reverse atom transfer radical polymerization was used to synthesize polyacrylonitrile under microwave irradiation, and the polymerization not only showed the best control of the molecular weight and its distribution but also provided a rather rapid reaction rate with a ratio of 300 : 1: 1 : 1 : 2.

Evolution Process of Humins Derived from Glucose
TL;DR: In this paper , the evolution process of humins derived from glucose was studied dynamically from the feedstock, the intermediates in solution, till humins solid formed, unveiling two elementary reactions including etherification of dehydrated glucose and electrophilic substitution of furfuryl alcohol (FAL).

Adsorption properties of novel chelating resins containing 2‐amino‐5‐methylthio‐1,3,4‐thiadizole and hydrophilic spacer arms for Hg2+ and Ag+
TL;DR: In this paper, the adsorption properties of newly formed chelating resins that contained a heterocyclic functional group and a hydrophilic spacer arm of poly(ethylene glycol) [polystyrene-diethylene glycol]-2-amino-5-methylthio-1,3,4-thiadizole (PS-TEG-AMTZ)] were studied in detail.

Optimization of the process variables for the synthesis of spherical novolac-typed resin by dispersion polycondensation of 2-phenoxyethanol with formaldehyde using response surface methodology
TL;DR: In this article, spherical novolac-typed resin (SNR) was synthesized by dispersion polycondensation of 2-phenoxyethanol (PE) with formaldehyde.

Synthesis and characterization of phenolic‐type beads by dispersion polymerization of 2‐phenoxyethanol with formaldehyde using gum acacia powder as stabilizer
TL;DR: In this article, a novel dispersion polymerization of 2-phenoxyethanol (PE) and formaldehyde, in which gum acacia powder (GAP), formic acid, and sulfuric acid are employed as steric stabilizer, the reaction medium and the catalyst, respectively, is reported.
