Fiber diameter of polybutylene terephthalate melt-blown nonwovens
Ting Chen,Li Liqing,Xiubao Huang +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polymer air-drawing model of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) melt-blown nonwovens has been established and the predicted fiber diameter coincides with the experimental data.

Detecting Pills in Fabric Images Based on Multi-scale Matched Filtering
TL;DR: The detection of pills on a real image shows that this method can satisfy the recognition and segmentation of different size pills and is helpful for quantitatively describing the pilling information.

A soft computing approach to model the structure–property relations of nonwoven fabrics
TL;DR: The results show that the artificial neural network model yields accurate prediction and a reasonably good artificial Neural Network model can be achieved with relatively few data points by integrated with the input variable selecting method developed in this research.

Simulating the drawing of spunbonding nonwoven process using an artificial neural network technique
TL;DR: In this paper, a statistical and artificial neural network (ANN) model was used to predict the fiber diameter of nonwoven yarns from the processing parameters, and the results showed that the ANN model yields more accurate and stable prediction than the statistical model.

Numerical computation of the fiber diameter of melt blown nonwovens produced by the inset die
TL;DR: In this article, the air jet flow field model for the dual slot inset die is established and the numerical computation results of the air velocity distribution coincide with the experimental data, which shows the great potential of this research for the computer assisted design of melt blowing technology and equipment.
