Cold-enhanced somatic embryogenesis in cell suspension cultures of Astragalus adsurgens Pall.: relationship with exogenous calcium during cold pretreatment
TL;DR: It is suggested that embryogenic cells require a minimal concentration of Ca2+ during pretreatment for the expression of this cold-enhanced capacity for somatic embryogenesis in A.adsurgens and the influx of exogenous Ca2+, which might also be involved.

Enhanced somatic embryogenesis by salicylic acid of Astragalus adsurgens Pall.: relationship with H2O2 production and H2O2-metabolizing enzyme activities
TL;DR: The pre-treatment of callus with dimethylthiourea significantly inhibited somatic embryogenesis, even if callus was cultured on the differentiation medium supplemented with 150 μmol/l SA, suggesting that the endogenous H 2 O 2 was required for SA-enhanced somatic embryos development.
