The invention provides an application installing and uninstalling system and method. The system comprises an application uninstalling module and/or an application installing module. The application uninstalling module comprises a first detection submodule and a first reminding submodule, wherein the first detection submodule is used for detecting whether second application in the calling relation with first application exists in a communication terminal or not when a request for uninstalling the first application is received, and the first reminding submodule is used for sending out first caution that the second application will not operate normally after the first application is uninstalled if the second application exists. The application installing module comprises a second detection submodule and a second reminding submodule, wherein the second detection submodule is used for detecting whether the second application in the calling relation with the first application exists in the communication terminal or not when a request for installing the first application is received, and the second reminding submodule is used for sending out second caution that the second application needs to be installed to make the first application normally operate if the second application does not exist. In this way, collaborative management between the application in the application installing and uninstalling can be achieved.
