The structure of tumbler journal box orientation mode was widely used in the high speed EMU, as it has the excellence of the stiffness in longitudinal, lateral and vertical direction can be set respectively. The longitudinal stiffness and lateral stiffness of the journal box was supplied by the stiffness of the elasticity node of tumbler. The stability of the high speed vehicle has a big relation with the stiffness of the elasticity node of tumbler. The dynamic model of the high speed vehicle was set up based on the analysis of the structure of the tumbler journal box in detail. The linear and nonlinear stability analysis of the model in which the parameter of the real vehicle was used was carried out first, the influence of the variable of the longitudinal stiffness and the lateral stiffness of the elasticity node of tumbler to the hunting stability of the high speed vehicle was researched. The stiffness of the elasticity node of tumbler especially the longitudinal stiffness has a big influence to the hunting speed of the high speed vehicle.

Influence of the orientation stiffness of tumbler journal box to the stability of high speed vehicles


 Bogie is a pivotal system and plays a critical part in the safety and reliability management of high speed rail. However, the available bogie system reliability analysis methods lack the consideration of multi-state characteristics, and the common multi-state reliability analysis methods, being an NP-hard problem, lead to a low efficiency. In order to overcome the mentioned drawbacks, this paper proposes a novel multi-state rail train bogie system reliability analysis approach based on the extended d-MC model. Three different function interactions within the bogie system are considered to build the multi-state bogie system flow network model. Meanwhile, an extended d-MC model is established to remove unnecessary d-MC candidates and duplicates, which greatly enhances the computing efficiency. The bogie system reliability is calculated, and the examples are provided. Numerical experiments are carried out for the different operational conditions of the bogie system and are used to testify the practicability of the method projected in this article, and is is found that the proposed method outperforms a newly developed method in solving the multi-state reliability problems.

A Novel Multi-state Bogie System Reliability Evaluation Approach by Extended d-MC Model for High Speed Train

The damage of the tumbler node was one of the common phenomena of the damage of the tumbler journal box setting. Aimed to the easy damage problem of the tumbler node of the CW-2 style bogie, two positioning method of the tumbler journal box was compared, one is the tumbler journal box of the CW-2 bogie, the other is the tumbler journal box on the high speed motor car of CRH 2 . The position of the journal box spring has a big influence to the load of the tumbler node. The dynamic model of the high speed vehicles with the two different tumbler journal boxes were set up through the dynamic simulation soft SIMPACK. The simulation cases of high speed on straight line, brake condition and the condition of the horizon wind were carried to research load of the tumbler node. All the results of the three different cases were coincided with the theory analysis result. The tumbler node of the model which the CRH 2 tumbler journal box was adopted has a big longitudinal and lateral force; the tumbler node of the model which the CW-2 tumbler journal box was adopted not only has a big longitudinal and lateral force, but also has a bigger vertical force. The simulation results shown that the tumbler node of the CW-2 bogie has a bigger and complex force in total, this is the just reason why the tumbler node more easy damaged than other tumbler journal box.

Influence of the journal box positioning method to the load of tumbler node

The bogie is a crucial component of urban rail vehicles, and its performance plays a decisive role in the safe operation of vehicles. Aiming at the intelligent operation and maintenance requirements of rail transit equipment, in this paper, it takes several key parts of the urban rail vehicle bogie system as research objects, such as motor bearings, frames, fasteners, etc., and proposes a three-dimensional (3D) visual collaborative maintenance method. Firstly, a multi-sensor urban rail vehicle bogie running simulation experiment analysis platform was constructed, thereby establishing a database of running state and performance characteristics of the bogie in the whole life cycle. Then, the health status of key components of bogie was predicted by the state interval prediction model. Finally, the three-dimensional visual collaborative maintenance model proposed in this paper was integrated to realize the early warning of the bogie operation faults, 3D precise guidance of automatic location and maintenance operation information, and collaborative sharing of visual information among multiple users.
