Prediction of flow behavior of particles in a tapered bubbling fluidized bed using a second-order moment-frictional stresses model
TL;DR: In this paper, a drag coefficient model for gas-monosized particles flow is proposed for predicting the interaction between gas and solid phase in the tapered bubbling fluidized beds.

Numerical modeling of a bubbling fluidized bed coal gasifier by kinetic theory of rough spheres
TL;DR: In this paper, a steam-assisted fluidized bed coal gasifier with a height of 2.0 meters and a diameter of 0.22 meters is simulated using the kinetic theory of rough spheres with the coal reaction models.

Comparative analysis of heterogeneous gas-solid flow using dynamic cluster structure-dependent drag model in risers
TL;DR: In this article, an energy dissipation minimization-based dynamic cluster structure-dependent (DCSD) drag model is proposed using Euler-Euler two-fluid model (TFM) and kinetic theory of granular flow (KTGF).

Simulation of motion of particles in reciprocating grates using DEM
TL;DR: In this paper, the motion of monosize particles and binary mixture in the reciprocating grate is simulated by means of Discrete Element Method (DEM) and it is shown that the mixing and segregation of binary mixture is strongly dependent on the momentum exchange of each species which is related to the granular temperature of mixture components.
