Optically Excited Entangled States in Organic Molecules Illuminate the Dark
Leslie Upton,Michael R. Harpham,Michael R. Harpham,Ozgun Suzer,Ozgun Suzer,Marten Richter,Shaul Mukamel,Theodore Goodson +7 more
TL;DR: For the first time, fluorescence is reported as a result of entangled photon absorption in organic nonlinear optical molecules and this results provide the first steps in realizing and demonstrating the viability of entangled two-photon microscopy, remote sensing, and optical communications.
Bright two-photon emission and ultra-fast relaxation dynamics in a DNA-templated nanocluster investigated by ultra-fast spectroscopy
Sung Hei Yau,Neranga Abeyasinghe,Meghan Orr,Leslie Upton,Oleg Varnavski,James H. Werner,Hsin-Chih Yeh,Jaswinder Sharma,Andrew P. Shreve,Jennifer S. Martinez,Theodore Goodson +10 more
TL;DR: A simple four level system is used to describe the emission mechanism for Ag NC on dsDNA as an excited state bleach that related directly to the emission at 650 nm based on the excitation spectrum.

Predicting and Controlling Entangled Two-Photon Absorption in Diatomic Molecules
Ryan K. Burdick,Oleg Varnavski,Andrew R. Molina,Leslie Upton,Paul M. Zimmerman,Theodore Goodson +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that with the additional parameters allotted by the entangled two-photon absorption, it may be possible to predict and later control the nonlinear absorption and transparency of a molecule at a constant incident photon frequency.
