How students perceive attending Church in Wales primary schools : a psychometric assessment of Section 50 inspection criteria
TL;DR: A sample of 4,581 year 4, year 5 and year 6 students attending Church in Wales primary schools completed six short scales designed to operationalise the Section 50 inspection criteria concerning aspects of the distinctiveness of church school ethos and concerning school worship as mentioned in this paper.
Church Attendance, Implicit Religion and Belief in Luck: The relationship between conventional religiosity and alternative spirituality among adolescents
TL;DR: This article examined the complex pattern of relationships between conventional religious practice, implicit religion (in the sense of persisting Christian beliefs and values, unsupported by church attendance), and non-conventional beliefs, and found that among non-churchgoers there is a significant positive correlation between attitude toward Christianity and belief in luck.
The Romanian Translation of the Francis Scale of Attitude Toward Christianity: Internal Consistency Reliability, Re-test Reliability and Construct Validity Among Undergraduate Students Within a Greek Orthodox Culture
TL;DR: In this article, the Francis Scale of Attitude toward Christianity was translated into Romanian and applied within a cultural context shaped by the Greek Orthodox tradition, and data provided by a sample of 158 students (mainly in their late teens and early twenties) supported the internal consistency reliability, re-test reliability and construct validity of this instrument and commended it for further use in studies conducted in Romania.
School influence and pupil attitude towards religion
TL;DR: In this article, a study of attitudes towards religion of 2,272 third and fourth year junior pupils were studied in relation to the type of religious education provided by their school, and comparisons were made between Roman Catholic aided, Church of England aided, and Local Education Authority schools.
Introducing the modified paranormal belief scale: distinguishing between classic paranormal beliefs, religious paranormal beliefs and conventional religiosity among undergraduates in Northern Ireland and Wales
