N-Terminal sequence of human big gastrin: sequence, synthetic and immunochemical studies.
Abdul M. Choudhury,George W. Kenner,Stanley Moore,Kuzhalmannan L. Ramachandran,Warwick D. Thorpe,Robert Ramage,Graham J. Dockray,Roderic A. Gregory,Leroy Hood,Michael W. Hunkapiller +9 more
TL;DR: A nonadecapeptide has been synthesized and found to have full immunochemical potency compared with natural human G34 in a radioimmunoassay which is specific for the N-terminal sequence.
Editorial: Systems biology and personalized medicine – the future is now
Charles Auffray,Leroy Hood +1 more
TL;DR: This special issue on "Systems biology and personalized medicine" includes five complementary articles that highlight how functional genomics and computational physiology can contribute to the development of predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory (P4) medicine.
Author Correction: Lifespan-extending interventions induce consistent patterns of fatty acid oxidation in mouse livers

Chromosomal mapping of mouse myelin basic protein gene and structure and transcription of the partially deleted gene in shiverer mutant mice
TL;DR: The gene for mouse myelin basic protein (MBP) was mapped to chromosome 18 by hybridization of cloned MBP probes to DNA from hamster-mouse hybrid cell lines, showing it to be linked to the shiverer mutation which causes abnormal CNS myelination.
Integrated Expression Profiling and ChIP-seq Analyses of the Growth Inhibition Response Program of the Androgen Receptor
Biaoyang Lin,Jun Wang,Xu Hong,Xiaowei Yan,Daehee Hwang,Ji-Hoon Cho,Danielle Yi,Angelita G. Utleg,Xuefeng Fang,Dustin E. Schones,Keji Zhao,Gilbert S. Omenn,Leroy Hood +12 more
TL;DR: The data provide a valuable data set in understanding the molecular basis for growth inhibition response program of the AR in prostate cancer cells, which can be exploited for developing novel prostate cancer therapeutic strategies.
