Optimized negative-staining protocol for examining lipid-protein interactions by electron microscopy.
Mark Garewal,Lei Zhang,Gang Ren +2 more
TL;DR: An optimized NS protocol was developed that was validated by comparing images of lipoproteins from cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) and could produce "near native-state" particle images and high contrast images of the protein in its lipid-binding state that is favorable for three-dimensional reconstruction by single-particle analysis and individual-particles electron tomography (IPET).

Effects of four single nucleotide polymorphisms of EZH2 on cancer risk: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Zhixin Ling,Zonghao You,Ling Hu,Lei Zhang,Yiduo Wang,Minhao Zhang,Guangyuan Zhang,Shuqiu Chen,Bin Xu,Ming Chen +9 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper conducted a comprehensive search and meta-analysis to evaluate the associations between EZH2 SNPs and cancer risk, and found that the association of four SNPs, namely, rs887569, rs2302427, rs3757441, and rs41277434, in the EzH2 locus with cancer risk was evaluated.
Synergistic interactions between N3 dye and perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 for aqueous-based photoresponsiveness under visible light
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the interactions between N3 dye, a famous dye widely employed for dye-sensitized solar cells, and halide perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 surface, employing combined experimental and first principles techniques.

Integrated Volatile Metabolomics and Transcriptomics Analyses Reveal the Influence of Infection TuMV to Volatile Organic Compounds in Brassica rapa
Xinxin Lu,Lei Zhang,Wenyue Huang,Shujiang Zhang,Shifan Zhang,Li Fei-Fei,Hui Zhang,Rifei Sun,Jianjun Zhao,Guoliang Li +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used volatile metabolome and transcriptome analyses to determine the difference in volatiles between normal plants and infected plants and may lay a foundation for anti-Turnip mosaic virus research in B. rapa.
Polarization-enabled tunable focusing by visible-light metalenses with geometric and propagation phase
TL;DR: By combining propagation phase and geometric phase, the authors in this paper numerically realize a flat metalens with a tunable focal length by controlling the polarization state of incident light, which can operate at the entire visible band with an efficiency over 35%.
