The invention provides an organic light emitting device and a display device thereof. The display device comprises a substrate layer, a first electrode layer, a light emitting layer and a second electrode layer, which are stacked in sequence, and further comprises a first barrier layer arranged between the first electrode layer and the light emitting layer and a second barrier layer arranged between the second electrode layer and the light emitting layer, wherein each of the first barrier layer and the second barrier layer comprises a light emitting body material, and the triplet energy level T1 of the light emitting body material is not less than 2.5ev. The organic light emitting device is provided with the first barrier layer comprising the light emitting body material and the second barrier layer comprising the light emitting body material, and the light emitting body material has high triplet energy level T1; when the light emitting body material is used as the first barrier layer, the diffusion of the triplet excitons can be blocked, and the exciton quenching is reduced, so that the service life of the organic light emitting device is prolonged; and when the light emitting body material is used as the second barrier layer, the electrons and the excitons are effectively restricted at the light emitting layer, so that the electrons and the holes are compounded to reduce the energy loss, and thus the light emitting efficiency of the organic light emitting device is improved.

Phosphorescent materials are crucial to improve the luminescence and efficiency of organic light emitting diodes (OLED), because its internal quantum efficiency can reach 100%. So the studying of optical and electrical properties of phosphorescent materials is propitious for the further development of phosphorescent OLED. Phosphorescent materials were generally doped into different host materials as emitting components, not only played an important role in emitting light but also had a profound influence on carrier transport properties. We studied the optical and electrical properties of the blue 4,4′-bis(2,2-diphenylvinyl)-1,1′-biphenyl (DPVBi)-based devices, adding a common yellow phosphorescent material bis[2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)benzothiazolato-N,C2′] iridium(acetylacetonate) [(t-bt)2Ir(acac)] in different positions. The results showed (t-bt)2Ir(acac) has remarkable hole-trapping ability. Especially the ultrathin structure device, compared to the device without (t-bt)2Ir(acac), had increased the luminance by about 60%, and the efficiency by about 97%. Then introduced thin 4,4′-bis(carbazol-9-yl)biphenyl (CBP) host layer between DPVBi and (t-bt)2Ir(acac), and got devices with stable white color.

The OLED array substrate includes a plurality of OLEDs; the OLED includes an anode, a light-emitting layer and a cathode which are provided sequentially; the light-emitting layers are divided into a plurality of types by color (that is, the light-emitting layers are configured for emitting light of a plurality of colors), and are made of a host material and a guest material doped in the host material; and the OLED further includes an exciton blocking layer provided between the cathode and the light-emitting layer and in contact with the light-emitting layer, which is made of a host material of one light-emitting layer, and the host material of the one light-emitting layer has the biggest highest occupied molecular orbital energy level and the biggest triplet state energy level in the host materials of all light-emitting layers.

Organic electroluminescent device with high color rendering index

White light organic electroluminescent device and manufacturing method thereof

Phosphorescent white organic light-emitting devices (PhWOLEDs) with a double emitting layer (EML) structure were fabricated. The EMLs were doped with blue and yellow phosphors of iridium(III) bis[4,6-(difluorophenyl)-pyridinato-N,C2'] picolinate and [2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)benzothiazolato-N,C2'] iridium (acetylacetonate). Comparing the performance of PhWOLEDs with the host of yellow EML varying from p- to n-type materials, the results showed that the PhWOLED fabricated with 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BPhen) as the yellow host had the highest performance, exhibiting a peak current efficiency of 31.7 cd/A, a peak power efficiency of 17.1 lm/W, and the Commission Internationale del'Eclairage coordinates of (0.33, 0.41) at a bias of 9 V. The enhancement was attributed to the improved charge carrier balance, broadened recombination region, and adequate energy levels between the BPhen host and the dopants, which made distinct roles for the dopants to effectively harvest the charge carriers.
