Dynamics of a Dispersion-Managed Passively Mode-Locked Er-Doped Fiber Laser Using Single Wall Carbon Nanotubes
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the dynamics of a dispersion-managed, passively mode-locked, ultrashort-pulse, er-doped fiber laser using a single-wall carbon nanotube (SWNT) device.

Octave Spanning Coherent Supercontinuum Comb Generation Based on Er-Doped Fiber Lasers and Their Characterization
TL;DR: In this article, an octave spanning, highly coherent supercontinuum comb with high flatness was generated with normally dispersive highly nonlinear fiber by using a stabilized fiber laser comb system as the seed pulse, and the characteristics of the generated comb were examined via balanced heterodyne beat measurements with stable continuous-wave laser diodes.

Midinfrared optical frequency comb based on difference frequency generation using high repetition rate Er-doped fiber laser with single wall carbon nanotube film
M. Tsuzuki,Lei Jin,Masahito Yamanaka,V. Sonnenchein,Hideki Tomita,André Kubagawa Sato,T. Ohara,Youichi Sakakibara,Emiko Omoda,Hiromichi Kataura,T. Iguchi,Norihiko Nishizawa +11 more
TL;DR: In this article, stable midinfrared (MIR) optical frequency comb at the 3.0μm region with difference frequency generation pumped by a high power, Er-doped, ultrashort pulse fiber laser system was demonstrated.

Optical feedback in dfb quantum cascade laser for mid-infrared cavity ring-down spectroscopy
Ryohei Terabayashi,Volker Sonnenschein,Hideki Tomita,Noriyoshi Hayashi,Shusuke Kato,Lei Jin,Masahito Yamanaka,Norihiko Nishizawa,Atsushi Sato,Kohei Nozawa,Kenta Hashizume,Toshinari Oh-hara,Tetsuo Iguchi +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a simple external optical feedback system was applied to a distributed feedback quantum cascade laser (DFB QCL) for cavity ring-down spectroscopy (CRDS) and a clear effect of feedback was observed.

Highly coherent tunable mid-infrared frequency comb pumped by supercontinuum at 1 µm
Lei Jin,Masahito Yamanaka,Volker Sonnenschein,Hideki Tomita,Tetsuo Iguchi,Atsushi Sato,Toshinari Oh-hara,Norihiko Nishizawa +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a tunable mid-infrared frequency comb working at 184 MHz was reported, which is based on difference frequency generation in a periodically poled Mg-doped stoichiometric lithium tantalate (PPMgSLT) crystal pumped by high-power supercontinuum pulses.
